Clear Aligner System® is a revolutionary orthodontic therapy developed by Scheu-Dental (Germany). Its assumption is to correct malocclusion by means of transparent splints. This method can replaces the capabilities of fixed and mobile appliances in many clinical cases. Clear Aligner splints have a very large spectrum of applications. They can be effectively used, for example, to close gaps between the teeth, in correcting the deep or cross bite.
Maximum comfort
Transparent and biocompatible thermoplastic splints ensure maximum comfort in the patient's mouth. Users can quickly and easily remove splints from the mouth and re-attach them at any time, for example to eat and cleaning. Toothbrush with a toothpaste is enough to clean the device. Treatment is almost painless and is very well tolerated by patients. With every set of splints we deliver as well instruction for a patient with basic information about useing splints.
In many cases, Clear Aligner therapy effectively displaces traditional ways of correcting malocclusion and with this method we can achieve optimal and accurate treatment results in a short time and the patient will feel comfortable during treatment.
Little history
Correcting malocclusion with transparent splints (overlays) has been known in orthodontics for many years. The American companies made the most progress in this area. Systems developed by them have in many cases been successful. However, they had several disadvantages. First of all, they were very expensive, even in small cases. The entire treatment process was planned abroad and to this plan, a set of splints for the entire course of treatment was performed abroad. In this situation, the change in the method of treatment, or even its minimal correction by the orthodontist, was practically impossible.
The modernized concept of treatment, which eliminates the above-mentioned drawbacks, was developed by Dr. Tae Weon Kim from South Korea and disseminated by the German company Scheu Dental. This system was called Clear Aligner. In practice, it was the most effective in correcting malocclusion for adult patients as well as adolescents.
For orthodontists, Clear Aligner System could be one of familiar smart device for all patients in any age.
